Cell Phone Housings

(T/Mould Study)

The Task:

Mobile phones are generally made from several housing components. If these are made from the same material the combined production in a Tandem Tool is economically extremely useful.

The Solution:

One 2+2 cavity tool produces within 12 seconds two Upper parts and two Lower parts (meaning as well four parts for two mobile phones) in two alternating parting levels. That means in one hour it is possible to produce the components for 600 cell phone housings.

The Result:

The cell phone market is and remains in motion. High piece volumes reduce the production cost. In this respect under view of significant production increase for these products the Tandem Tool concept is very interesting.

This study tool has an LED Display mounted on a Tandem Tool. This allows the operator of the machine conveniently control the position of Locking System.

Remarks: Releases of public presentations in the mobile phone industry are not thinkable, meaning the described results are based on a study tool that T/Mould build solidly for presentation purposes.
