Interlocking systems

The heart of Tandem Technology is the interlocking system: the Compact Locking System (CLS).

It takes over the reliable alternating closing and opening of two parting surfaces within the tool. 

The interlocking mechanism is moved by a hydraulic cylinder. With the CLS1-2 and 1-4 versions pneumatic versions can also be used. 

The modified software for each injection mould machine is controlled via a limit switch. A version of the Compact Locking Systems is available for nearly all tool sizes.

  • CLS 1-2 smaller design, two locking systems, u-shaped locking rod
  • CLS 1-4 smaller design, four locking systems, u-shaped locking rod
  • CLS 2-2 larger design, two locking systems, u-shaped locking rod
  • CLS 2-4 larger design, four locking systems, u-shaped locking rod
  • CLS 3 / CLS 4 larger design, CLS 3-2: two locking systems, CLS 3-4: four locking systems, etc., straight locking rod, The CLS 3 and CLS 4 versions are suitable for centre plates with sufficient dimensions of min 250 mm and min 400 mm respectively.
